When I awoke this morning, I realized that the group I'd begun with were now scattered along the trail of this pilgrimage, and resolved to stay a while where I camp to allow some of those worthy gentles and noble beings to reach my location and then travel on together as we might.
The Miller I'd met previously tarried at my meager fire whilst his head cleared. As he kept applying the spirit that fogged it to begin with, I gave leave to doubt the man intended to walk an inch beyond the bush he relieved himself at. Still as he shared his meat and wine along with bringing the odd dry stick for the fire back from his pissing, I endured his overloud recitation of the goings on of a randy carpenter's wife and her jealous man. A tale I'm certain was made better by the application of the wine for I'll admit to giggling by the end at the antics of the players.
While I sat I whiled away the time on my little crafting. A bit of weaving, a bit of spinning and a bit of sewing kept my hands busy as I listened to the Miller and tended the fire. We shall see what the morrow brings.
This is just a fun little storytelling blog about my "adventures" as a 12th century adventuress.
